Graduate Expectations Epiphany expects its graduates to contribute intellectually, morally, and actively to society. Epiphany works to ensure that students receive excellent classroom teaching, individualized attention, and instruction in community responsibility that remain with them for life. In return, Epiphany asks the following of its graduates:
Every grade at Epiphany has social and academic benchmarks that students must pass in order to move to the next grade. Our graduates have mastered these. It is our hope that these aforementioned goals: working to one's potential, working for justice, and serving the school will be the benchmarks for Epiphany graduates out in the world. Epiphany must explicitly communicate these benchmarks to our graduates. Already, new fifth graders see the graduates here, sweating over papers in the computer lab, tutoring their peers, and serving as receptionists. As we reach the milestone next year of having as many Epiphany graduates out in the world as we have students in the building, we continue to share our articulation of what it means to have spent four years in this intense and loving environment. |
