Partner Spotlight

Ropes & Gray

At this time of year, when we are hard at work planning the annual Spring Gala, we are especially grateful for the many loyal sponsors who make those magical nights possible and are proud to highlight Ropes & Gray as this month's corporate partner not only because they have so generously supported our event but also because so many of our friends like Peter Erichsen, Edward Lawrence, Carolyn Osteen, and so many others are a part of it. Our partnership with this leading global law firm has made a lasting impact on so many children and families, and we look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in the years to come.

Epiphany Stars: Graduate Profile

Lauren Cavanagh ‘02

Epiphany is proud of our lifelong learners, and our 2002 graduate, Lauren Cavanagh, is an outstanding example. She was one of five family members who attended Epiphany, and so Epiphany is truly a family affair for her. Her collection of trophies and awards attest to how Lauren learned to believe in herself and take risks, and we are proud that she knows Epiphany loves her unconditionally. As a successful accounting manager, mother, and new homeowner, Lauren is hitting a home run. We are immensely proud of her for everything she accomplished, and her tenacity sets an inspiring example. Learning is Cool: Epiphany Curriculum Highlights

Calling all STEM enthusiasts! In October we embarked on a STEM career carnival. Sponsored by our friends at Kids in Tech, our 5th and 6th-grade students are engaging in an array of STEM projects and activities. It is thrilling for kids to get hands-on connections to real-world challenges.

Early Learning Center Corner

This Halloween our littlest learners cruised down to the 5th and 6th grade classrooms in the Middle to show off their group costume. Each pre-k student dressed up as a train cart with a conductor hat and bandana to complete the uniform. The younger kids got a thrill out of showing the big kids their creative team costume!

Epiphany News

Fall Clean-Up & ELC Fall Festival

In other news, the Early Learning Center welcomed the change in seasons with a happy fall festival which coincided with the Leadership Council’s Fall Clean-up! Huge thanks to the Leadership Council and Empowering People for Inclusive Communities (EPIC) for ALL their help! Dorothy, one of our current parents who works at EPIC, brought 15 young leaders to help with the tasks. It was a great turnout and a big help in tending to our school grounds. We are so thankful for the support and enthusiasm. What a joyful family-friendly day together!

Halloween Festivities

Our Halloween Festivities were a hit! Pumpkin carving, face painting, pie eating contests, cider donut eating, sack races, three-legged races, human wheelbarrow races—all took place right in our backyard. For our thrill seekers, we hosted a haunted house in the basement of the Teaching Fellows’ House (232 Centre Street) as we celebrated a safe and happy Halloween.

Peter Reynolds visits Epiphany

Peter Reynolds, an accomplished writer, storyteller, and illustrator came for a tour and lunch with the kids. His work encourages readers and watchers to follow their own unique path through life. Through books, films, and educational media that connect with children and adults, he challenges each of us to reach our full potential. During his time at Epiphany, students talked with him about their work, and he engaged them in constructive critique and shared his own creative process.
